Well ok I have met up with my Dad and Uncle to race his MGC with a Rover V8 and Sandown as part of the "Return of the Thunder" historical racing...www.vhrr.com
The car has had a number of problems... first a an electrical miss which it developed at Philipp Island but after a month in the shop they still did not find the solution so on Friday, Geoff and Graham have sorted that problem out.
Yesterday was qualifing and the car was running well until the seal on the gearbox came lose and sprayed oil all over the track. After a gearbox reseal the car is now ready for the racing today...
Graham is running the regularities - Group 2 and Geoff racing in the MG class.
The cobra seems to be running well and I am just fiddling to make sure it gives me no more problems for the great ocean road and the return to Sydney across the Hay plain
